 Public Health Awareness Days help to raise health awareness among the general public. Each year, many organizations and communities actively participate in promoting and supporting the many World Health Days observed worldwide. These days look at all health problems and what needs improvement in the medical system.



 The World Health Organization urges everyone to take an active part and educate others with real scientific information on health issues.

স্বাস্থ্যকর জীবনযাপন করার জন্য পুষ্টিকর খাদ্য, পানীয় জল গ্রহণ করা শরীরে অ্যালকোহল এবং ধূমপানের মারাত্মক প্রভাব সম্পর্কে অন্যদের শিক্ষিত করা, প্রতি বছর রক্তদান একটি স্বাস্থ্যকর বিশ্ব তৈরি করতে পারে।

বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা প্রত্যেককে সক্রিয় অংশ নেওয়ার জন্য এবং স্বাস্থ্য সমস্যা সম্পর্কিত প্রকৃত বৈজ্ঞানিক তথ্য সহ অন্যদের শিক্ষিত করার আহ্বান জানায়।

Oct 01 - International Day for Older Persons / World Elders Day

Every year, "International Day of Older Persons" is celebrated on October 1 to raise public awareness of the opportunities and challenges presented by our aging population and to bring together families, community groups to address the issues of older people.


 • Oct 03 - Virus Appreciation Day

This day is commemorated on 3rd October every year. Almost everywhere on Earth, viruses are found in plants, animals, and other living organisms, potentially causing disease.


• Oct 10 - World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is a day of mental health education, awareness for all around the world. It was first observed in 1992. In some countries it is observed as part of Mental Illness Awareness Week.


 • Oct 12 - World Arthritis Day

World Arthritis Day is a global health awareness event held annually on October 12 to raise awareness about arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders, educate about preventative measures and provide guidance on how to deal with subsequent complications.


Oct 15 - Global Handwashing Day

Global Handwashing Day is on October 15 and like every year, the day serves as a platform to raise global awareness about the importance of washing hands with soap.

World Spine Day is an annual celebration of spine health on October 16. The day aims to raise awareness for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of back pain and other spine problems.

World Anesthesia Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide to commemorate the first successful demonstration of diethyl ether anesthesia on 16 October 1846.


• Oct 16 - World Food Day

World Food Day is an international day celebrated worldwide on 16 October every year to commemorate the founding date of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945.


• Oct 17 - World Trauma Day

World Trauma Day is held on October 17 every year. The day focuses on the importance of saving and protecting life in emergency situations. It is also a day to provide education on how to avoid injury and death.


• Oct 20 - World Osteoporosis Day

World Osteoporosis Day is observed every year on 20 October to raise global awareness for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases.

Oct 01 to 31 - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of the impact of breast cancer. Mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early.
